I’m so so sorry!! I know it’s been a while since I don’t write on the blog, and it’s not because I forgot about you but there’s been so much stuff going on at work… But I promise I’ll keep up and don’t let so much time pass by. I would really like to thank all of you who took the time to write me down the past couple of weeks asking if I had given the blog a break or why I stop posting and wanting to know when was I coming back. That meant a lot to me and it’s been the main reason I’m taking this time to keep you updated. So I’ve decided to change things a little and today I would like to start this amazing (for many, free) week with some pictures to inspire your fashion mood on Monday.
Hope you have a great week!

Many women think that wearing a neautral color will outshine their look , but today I’m here to deny this. Although neutral usually means without color, wearing a neutral color could actually be a very good choice to outstand your assets. As they say “The brighter tones could not be so bright without the neutral tones.”so by contrasting a lighter tone with a bright one, could help us bring the viewer’s eye to where we want them to look (our assets). Colors such as beige, ivory, taupe, gray and white (including black, but this time I’m talking about the lighter tones) appear to be without color so, what’s the best way to wear this color and still outstand your assets? Well, wear a bighter tone in the things you will like to pop-up. For example a red or orange lip, or a bright metallic shoe or bag will look great. I’ll leave it to you to decide what asset to outstand. And you know what’s best? Neutrals are a trending color for the season.
2013 has come to an end and I couldn’t be more thankful for the amazing year. Although you were able to see and read (here in the blog) about several spring and fall trends for 2013, there were just few of them that really made a statement. 2013 was the year for crop tops, grunge and prints. From the checkerboard’s spring trend (like Louis Vuitton’s popular checkerboard dresses) to the eye’s fall trend (like Kenzo’s ocular print) I could say that prints and symbols were kind of huge during 2013.
But what to expect for 2014? I could say that we’ll be seeing much of last year’s trends… crop tops, sport luxe, over-sized cuts, prints, leather, fur and we can’t forget pantone’s color of the year… Radiant Orchid.
What do you think will be this year’s top trend? My guesses are that the sports luxe (over-sized and boxed cuts) as well as the crop tops will make every fashionista want to workout and be in shape to be able to wear 2014’s hottest trends.
I’m happy to announce that this December I’m not just concluding a wonderful year but I’m also concluding my college degree, and I couldn’t be more happier. Knowing that college has ended is kind of weird, I can’t really explain this feeling, it’s a combination of self-realization and excitement. I guess that what I’ve learned from these past years is that at the end it all comes back to YOU. What you’ve done, achieved, failed, had more trouble in. And it’s until then when you understand that the competition wasn’t between you and your colleagues but with yourself. Couple of days ago I read this quote that said “I am in competition with no one. I have no desire to play the game of being better than anyone. I am simply trying to be better than the person I was yesterday.” So this year I’m not only concluding an important chapter in my life but I’m also Raising the Bar for the years to come.
To know others is wisdom, to know one’s self is enlightenment.
